The Sacred Heart chapel which is located at the left-hand side of the sanctuary has been overlooked for many years. As it is very much part of our beautiful church, it should receive some improvement.
Hence, the finance committee of the parish and the Parish Core Group have agreed that the existing pews which are of different shapes and lengths be replaced with single chairs with kneelers. This would increase the number of people to be accommodated in this part of the church, in comparison to the number it currently accommodates.
We would like to encourage parishioners to be part of this development by donating a chair or more. By donating a chair in memory of a loved one, or to mark an anniversary, you are leaving a legacy for future generations of this parish. All donated chairs will have a plaque attached to the chair with the name of the donor or the name of the person in whose memory the chair is donated. Each chair costs £150.00
