Feast of the Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ
FEAST OF THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRISTI (CORPUS CHRISTI): Sunday 7th June 2026 is the Feast of the Corpus Christi. The Corpus Christi procession will take place after the 11.30am Mass. (After the post Communion prayer) This is a Catholic tradition where the Blessed Sacrament is carried through the streets to publicly proclaim the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. It’s a public expression of faith and worship, often held on the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ. The procession will start from Church, Mitcham Lane towards Ambleside Avenue, Tooting Bec Gardens Road and then back to the Church. The procession will include:
- The priest carries the Blessed Sacrament, often in a monstrance, symbolizing the presence of Christ
- Participants will sing hymns and prayers, expressing their faith and adoration.
We would like to invite everyone to join in and especially all the Children who will be receiving their First Holy Communion this year.
THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS: Friday 12th June 2026 is the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Mass is at 9.30am in the morning.
THE IMMACULATE HEART OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY: Feast Mass is on Saturday 13th June 2026 at 9.30am
