INVITATION TO GROW IN FAITH- DISCOVERY- You may be aware that the diocese of Southwark is undertaking a programme of evangelisation. This programme is calling each of to respond “Let it be your chief study to put the Gospel into practice.” Jean Baptiste De La Salle.
You may have an active prayer life, attend Mass regularly and foster the faith in your family. Would you like to deepen your knowledge of Scripture? English Martyrs Parish is actively participating in the evangelisation programme and plan to offer the Discovery programme, the focus of which is to learn more about God’s Love and develop a personal relationship with Jesus. The course will run over a period of five consecutive weeks, commencing on Tuesday 21st October from 7-8pm. If you would like to participate in this course, please contact the parish secretary to register your interest.
SCHOOL REFERANCES: Parents who are intending to apply for a Catholic Primary/ Secondary school for 2026 September entry, please send the following documents to the parish office. Please do not email the documents to the office.
Closing date for Secondary School: 30th September 2025, Primary School: 16th November 2025
- Initial Reference form (that can be requested from the parish office or collect from the church porch)
- Copy of the Child’s Baptism certificate
- Family photo
- All school forms for priest’s reference.
- Copy of the Mass Attendance Card. You are required to stamp a mass attendance card whenever you come to Mass, as this helps the priest in giving you a reference.
All signed Secondary School documents to be collected from Fr Paul in person on Friday 3rd October 2025 from 4pm -6pm. Please note there are no appointments, first come first serve basis.
